HACCP and HARPC
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of the finished product.
Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventative Controls (HARPC) is a new provision of the FDA Food Modernization Act. It requires almost all food manufacturing, packing, and storage facilities to implement a system that identifies and reduces food safety and adulteration risks. There are many similarities between HACCP and HARPC. Contact us to help determine which route your business needs to pursue.
